26.2 Miles of New Orleans
In trying to keep up with my previous resolution, I am writing in response to Em's posting. OMG. Xanga's interface sucks. I may have to switch over to my new domain and convert to wordpress. Egad!
Since I started my 5 goals for 2010, my campaign has been met with mixed results. The 100 days of waking up 7 am or earlier is quite challenging. I'm on day 3 right now. Reading has been going along well, and I look forward to continue this reading habit. Maybe I can even get to 2 books a month. Yay! Surfing has been put on hold until July when the water temperatures don't require a wetsuit. The last two are going well.
And the title of this post? I'll be in New Orleans running a marathon on February 28th. Given the parties that have been going on there, I'm pretty excited to be heading out. We'll see if my no drinking for lent will be put to the test there. I suppose I can fill my stomach with gumbo instead.
What else have I been up to? Work at PixelActive has been busy. CityScape just release 1.8.3, which is nice and stable. We're also busy planning for trade shows and other fun times through 2010. It's going to be awesome. I also visited the Bay Area recently and was able to hang out with Jared, Victor, Joanne, Bobby, and my cousin Ming. Now that I think back at it. It was a great trip. Don't forget lunch at Chez Panesse. See picture below.
Chinese new year was this past weekend. It's the year of the Tiger, and my aunt is determined to make it phenomenal. She dragged me into a Wilderness Basics Course, which I'm thoroughly enjoying. I just sent out our application for a Mt. Whitney lottery. Maybe I can bag the peak again and actually get to check out the view.
I'm sad to see that my friends Nick and Chris are now in Michigan instead of LA. But I'm happy that they're following their dream and still have an opportunity to do what they want. I know they'll succeed if they keep at it. I guess I'll have to visit my brother's birthplace in the next couple of years.
