Tech-Club Trip
New Year, new goals. I’m doing a tour of the Bay Area visiting tech companies to see which ones I’d like to intern at for the summer. So far I’ve seen managers and recruiters from Google (YouTube), Adobe (Flash), EA and Apple. Next week I get to visit IBM, Intel, Cisco, and more.
I’ve also taken this opportunity to talk with my friends from the Bay Area. It’s great to catch up with them and see what they’re doing these days. I have some friends working at start-ups as well at the larger companies. I’m staying with Jared, but also visited Victor, Monelle, John, and alumni from the class of 2007. Next week I’ll meet with some more friends from previous companies.
The only problem is that the weather. We’re having high winds (50-70 MPH) as well heavy rains. It’s messing up my brand new suit and I’m starting to come down with a cold. I’m thinking about going back on Tuesday now instead of Wednesday, but I’ll have to decide when I wake up tomorrow how I feel.
